General Appearance:

It is not only an avid hunter, but also an excellent man´s companion. Its character is perfectly balanced, sociable, friendly and gentle. It loves its family, with the owner has a very good relationship and with the children, too. This breed has very strong hunting instinct, only after very proper training owner can manage the breed well. When it’s hunting it only prefers following track.

Temperament/Behaviour:

During the education it is still important to remember that it is a dog is not accustomed to wait for the owner's commands, it acts according to its own discretion and current situation. Therefore, it relies only on itself.

In spite of it may be bred by patient and gentle, but perfectly consistent handy dog owner. However slavish obedience from this breed, nobody can wait. It's too independent and self-confident. Education provides significantly better results when it has the opportunity to reside permanently or at least often and long enough with a man.

Body:

It's small, sturdy dog, lively, and its size and length of legs comparatively it is fast. Height at withers for both sexes must be min. 32 and max 38 cm with a tolerance of +2 cm for exceptional quality individuals.

The nose can be black or dark brown, nostrils should be wide open. Jaws and teeth are strong. Require a perfect scissor bite, which means that upper teeth closely overlapping down ones, both of which are square to the jaws. Absence of first premolars (P1) is not penalized.

Eyes are neither a living expression nor the bulging or sunken in orbit. Their iris must have a dark brown colour. Conjunctiva must not be apparent.

The earlobes are deployed in line eye level. Violently stretched forward to reach the end of the nose and the tops are pointed. They must be inside corkscrew and covered with fine hair, the coat is shorter than elsewhere on the body.

The tail is moderately long, slightly curved sickle, thick at the root towards the tip, gradually tapering and is coated with a rough coat. The motion is carried above the line of the body and regularly moves from side to side.

The forelegs have strong bones. The hindquarters are muscular, strong, viewed from behind parallel. Their position must not be too narrow or too wide.

The coat is very coarse, rough to the touch, rather short, never wavy or curly. In the face should not be too bushy. Its colour is blond, golden hue wheaten to brick red.

The hair on the back and earlobes can be a little bit scattered black guard hairs. A small white patch on the front of the chest is permissible, but not too big.

The serious defects include fearfulness, skull too wide or above completely flat, too prominent brow ridges, muzzle short or end pointed, upper lip heavy and too loose, light-coloured eyes, ears completely flat or too big, weak body, equal to the top body lines, belly too tucked up, stumbling (crooked) tail, weak bones of the extremities, flat feet, hair thin, short, soft or soft.

Faults: belong aggression or timidity, lack of distinctiveness overall appearance (absence of typical breeding characters), overshot or undershot jaw, too bright eyes, full or partial de-pigmentation of the nose, eye rims and lips, curved tail, a very crooked forelegs, presence dewclaws (which are among the breed never occur), long hair, curly or any other standard than required.
